Our Creative Process - Journey to the Radiance Pinky Ring

Every ring we create has its root in personal power. The pinky ring is and always has been a symbol of power and our mission is to add a little more of the feminine and just a little bit more woo.

The Radiance Pinky Ring is a celebration of your light. It is a portal to your inner shine, reminding you that you are as radiant and powerful as the sun. We drew our inspiration from several sources: the Egyptian sun god Ra, poetry, art and design, Zen meditation practices, and of course, our own namesake, Rey.

There are often several rounds of design. First in sketch form, then in rendering. It doesn't always translate how you want from paper to 3D so it takes iteration to get all the details right. We often have to 3D print resin or wax prototypes of a few different designs in order to see how it will look and feel in real life and on our fingers.

Once we feel confident about the design, it's time to cast it in gold. No matter how many new designs we create, it's always a bit of an anxious process, waiting for the end result and hoping it comes out as you had envisioned!

Our experience has taught us that no time is wasted in the design process. Getting it so that it feels right is always time well spent.

In a rushed world, we try to leave room for test-driving our jewelry. Since our pieces are meant to be worn all day, every day, forever, we want to make sure they are bult to last. Giving them a good trial run is an important final step in the quality control of everything we do.
